Hang in there
A crafty friend of mine is recuperating after surgery. I thought a masculine and humourous card would be perfect him. I love this cat sliding down the wall and wanted to emphasize that aspect of the image by cutting and rolling the paper to show the blue underneath. The paper is all from the Madam Payraud paper pad from DoCrafts.
Thanks for visiting! Erin xx
My friend Ian Wharton has started to design digis. Being friends with him gave me the privilege of being one of the first to see his designs and to talk him into doing one that looked my dog, Scooter. I had the idea of making an ATC slider that makes it look like the dog is jumping somewhat like the advert for O2. After a couple of goes, here’s what I came up with. I didn’t realise how out of focus the first pic was when I took it. Sorry!
Jump for joy!
I also made the Top 3 at That Craft Place Challenge Blog. It’s the first time I’ve entered a challenge so I’m totally over the moon! xx
As part of my conversion to the ‘Dark Side’ (I still blame Lisa at That Craft Place) I’m beginning to use acrylic paint to alter things. This my first finished piece (I’ve got a couple of others in the works). It started life as a beige ‘ready to paint’ piggy bank. I cut the flourish on my cameo (Piers blames Lisa). I used a number of blues, burnt sienna, one step crackle, and triple thick (all DecoArt and all available at That Craft Place). I’m counting the days (19) until I go to the first of four workshops with Mark Gould. Mark is on the DecoArt’s international design team. I can’t wait to learn and learn and learn!
As I said in my last post, I’m in 3 birthday groups. This means a lot of birthday cards to make! One of the ladies told me she likes grunge and green. I’m becoming more and more grungy (I blame Lisa ofThat Craft Place) so this was lots of fun for me. Hope she likes it!
Kenny K image coloured with copics with a layer of triple thick (love, love this stuff), Visable Image brick wall, Wordsworth sentiment, vintage photo distress ink around the edges.
I’m in 3 birthday groups this year. I haven’t been in one since I lived in Camrose (9 years now, wow!). Nothing like jumping in with both feet. One of the ladies likes gothic stuff. I’m so not gothic, but actually like this style. I’m also Facebook friends with a girl who had the fabulous idea of making 2 of every card and sending the extras to each other. She sent me the best package of cards! So, I stamped this Gorjuss Girl 3 times (one had a booboo that I was able to fix). I made 2 cards and a wall hanging.
Gorjuss Girl stamp coloured with copics, memory box die for the trees, background done with distress inks, scrolly frame thing cut on my cameo, birthday stamp is an old PSX stamp embossed with red glitter ep.
Wall Hook Thingy
Same as above glued to a wall hook tile thingy plus an Inkylicious bird stamp to hide an smudge. All supplies (except PSX & Inkylicious stamps) available from the bestest craft shop evah That Craft Place.
I’d like to enter the hook thingy into the Anything Goes Challenge at That Craft Place Challenge Blog.
