And now they shall have some pie…

The third little kitten found his mittens too!blackboard mittens

I had this brilliant idea to paint the mittens black and then used DecoArts Blackboard medium to turn them into a mini blackboard.  I used a chalk pen to write Maths Rocks because it just does!  Again, the back opens up and the mittens are removable to hang on the tree.  The papers are from a digital pack. The awesome snowflake border is a crafts too die.

I’m a secondary teacher (maths … go figure!) and we rarely get Christmas gifts.  I thought this would make a cute teacher gift…little Johnny could write his teacher’s name on the front or something.  (Ask your big kid who his favourite teacher is and make them something small…it will mean the world to the teacher!  I promise!)

  1. Really fabulous Erin hun – very good luck with your challenges hugs Judith x

  2. That’s a great card and I love the idea about the mittens (even though I was never really fond of Math LoL). Thank you for joining in at QUOTH THE RAVEN. Sorry we can’t enter you for Top 3 or Winner coz your project isn’t connected to Edgar Allan POE as per our ‘Anything POEs’ Challenge.

  3. What a lovely card! Love your idea with the blackboard it’s very creative. Thanks for joining us this week at Art by Miran for our 12th Anything Goes challenge. Kerry, DT xx

  4. Thank you for sharing your card with us at Simply Create Too. I just finished up a teacher gift for my daughter to give to her Kinder teacher on the first day. And I agree, when I use to teach it made my day to get a little something from one of my kids.

  5. Lovely. I like that the mittens are removable to become an ornament. Thanks for dropping by to share this with us at 613 Avenue Create. Please come back to visit us again!

  6. Thanks for sharing your lovely crafting for Suzy Bee’s Bloomin’ challenge 41 – hope to see you again soon, Hazel, DT (Sorry I’m so late with my comment, but I was away for the week with limited internet access) x

  7. A brilliant creation – I love your unique idea of turning the mittens into mini blackboards! Thanks for sharing your creation with us at Winter Wonderland – good luck!
