Autumn ATCs

I love to make ATCs and one of the groups I’m in does a swap every two months.  They give us a broad themes that allow our imaginations to run wild!  The September/October theme was Autumn.  I’m still into making interactive ones, although this time not all of them were. The Past is Prologue

I painted a greyboard atc (from TCP) to make a sunset scene.  I then stamped a Tim Holtz collage image in Archival Black ink.  The sentiment is from PaperArtsy and was stamped on to tissue in burgundy ink.  After this photo was taken, there was a bit of an accident and some of the paint in the lower left corner peeled off.  I used gelatoes in autumn colours on clear shrink plastic and die cut 3 leaves.  After shrinking them, I attached them to 3 corners.

The Past is PrologueI tried to make this one look like the side of shed…don’t know why!  A shed that had been repaired with a bit of metal.  Again, don’t know why!  This was a bit of silver mirri card embossed with that fab embossing folder from Tim Holtz and aged with alcohol inks and paint.  I also added a bit of silver frantage.  The leaf was done the same as described above.  I used one of Neil Walker’s bird stamps, coloured with autumn coloured copics, and stuck with silicon glue to give it some dimension.  This one was picked as the best atc in the swap! 😉

autumn atc3I love this die set from MFT.  In fact, I asked Lisa to order it for me!  I wanted to make it look like one of those warm, cozy jumpers/sweaters that you start wearing once there is a nip in the air!  It opens up to reveal a sentiment.  I embossed the greyboard atc blank with a knit embossing folder, painted it white, then a layer of buttermilk, sanded back to expose the white, added the die cuts.  I used a grungy spot stamp from PaperArtsy on the inside. The Past is Prologue

I think my favourite is this spooky one.  Very similar to my last post, but no sanding back or cheek!  Skull and crossbones are The Past is Prologuemdf from TCP.
