I swear I make stuff other than just ATCs! I swear! Actually, whilst making these I was probably swearing at Lorraine, who is the one in charge of the challenges over at That Craft Place’s Natter & Chatter page. Every month or so, she sets us the most impossible swaps. This month we had the choice of a card or ATCs using the 12 Days of Christmas as our theme. For some ungodly reason, I chose the ATC challenge which meant 12, yup count’em 12, ATCs…one for each day of the song…logical eh?
We didn’t have to exactly adhere to the song…we could be influenced. You may have to think sideways…very sideways…to get where I was coming from for some of these.
It’s really hard to see…but, there are 5 coffee rings (one of Ditzie Designs from TCP) embossed in faint gold on the golden rings one. We had to include 3 things from a list…mine were embossing, a phrase (I’ve got two…Think outside the box and Lord of the dance), and a die cut (the bunting on 11). I bought the fronts from a digi shop on etsy. The winged hearts and birdcage are from TCP. The birds are Neil Walker’s (available from TCP too). Most of the backgrounds are PaperArtsy (no surprise there) as are the women and bottle. The telephone is from Wendy Vecchi. The girl in the bathtub is The Greeting Farm, Lord of the dance is from Kenny K, and the rum barrels are from Kraftin’ Kimmie. I used lots and lots of distress inks…antique linen, vintage photo, and walnut ink mostly.
I’d like to enter the following challenges:
