Life Story

Toad & Magic

Another page for my art journal.  I fell in love with decopage whilst making Christmas cards this year and decided to try it with some of my stamps.  I’m really pleased with how the typewriter worked out, although I wish I had cut between (I used to know the proper names cause I learned to type on a typewriter! lol) roller and the clippy thing that kept the paper tight and smooth against the roller.  Oh well, live and learn!

The background is ripped pages from a 1950s women’s magazine with distress stains.  The postal stamp is from PaperArtsy and the alpha stamps are Dylusions.  The typewriter is from Creative Expressions and I stamped it in watering can archival ink.

I’d like to enter the following challenges:

  3. A fabulous page Erin, the decoupage is a brilliant idea. I love how you created the background x

  4. Fabulous Erin. I learned to touch type on an old Royal, similar to this one. We had a metal plate over the keyboard, so you couldn’t peak and were hit on the back of the hands with a ruler if you did not keep your wrists arched. Showing my age now. Happy Days!!!!!!!!
