This week’s challenge over at That Craft Place is charming. Here’s my project.
I recently had the good fortune to take a workshop with the incomparable Andy Skinner. This piece uses numerous techniques learned there. I put part of a piece of embossed card on the right hand side and then used texture paste in both crackle and stucco on the rest. I stuck a key (my charm) into the crackle paste. I gessoed everything once the texture paste dried. Then I used quint gold and magenta in the fluid paints from Deco Arts in bits’n pieces. I then covered everything in white antiquing cream (omg! this stuff is amazing) and wiped back with a dampish cloth when it had dried. I painted the mdf heart with turquoise paint and added a pit of quint gold and magenta here and there. There’s also some white antiquing cream to tie it into the other part. The sentiment was done with vintage photo distress ink and then brushed with the same on Lisa’s amazing super smooth paper. Now, the best part the big bite actually punches through the 4mm mdf panel for me to attach the sentiment with brads! I also painted florist wire with the magenta paint for the hangy thingy (technical term there). I bought all the paint, texture paste, antiquing cream, embellishments, mdf, paper, stamps, and embossing folders from my fav shop…That Craft Place! 😉

I’d like to enter the following challenges:
http://lisabdesignsinspiration.blogspot.co.uk/p/monthly-challenge.html – I think this fits into Spring Watercolours as the colours are springy and the paint has run together like watercolours. xx
