Brand New Challenge Blog

I’m in love with Lisa’s laser cuts.  They are so beautifully designed and superbly cut.  There really is nothing else on the market that compares!  My crafty friend Ria and I have started a new challenge blog to showcase them (you can also enter if you use Creative Expressions’ mdf).  The theme will be anything goes (we might rarely have a theme).  We just felt there needed to be another place to show off everyone’s creations with these divine products.

Here’s my first dt project for the new blog.  I embossed a piece of ugly card with a clock embossing folder (Christmas time, get it???), adhered it to the mdf bauble with DecoArt’s decopauge, painted it with Cosmic Shimmer Shimmer paint in green aqua, finally highlighting the embossing with Cosmic Shimmer gold gilding wax.  Then it sat on my desk for awhile! lol

I decided to case myself and made this Christmas card where the bauble can come off and be a wee present for those people that you want to give something more than a card to, but not a big pressie. (Surely, you know people like that too!) I tried to make the card so that when the bauble is removed the card is still nice.  lol  The papers are from my stash, the dies are from Spellbinders, and the sentiment is from the sillhoutte shop and I used vintage photo distress ink to make the white paper match the other papers.
