The other day I posted a card I made with grey board mittens from TCP.  Here’s another one that’s a touch more masculine (other than the bow with fab ribbon alos from TCP).  The back of the card opens up and you can remove the mittens to hang on tree.  We all have those people in our lives that deserve more than a card, but that you don’t want to get into the whole gift giving dilemma a la Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory

I painted the mittens gold then used the weathered wood product from DecoArts.  I anxiously waited for the cracks to appear after applying a custom shade of green (festive green with a bit of black).  I also put flower soft on the fluffy bit of the mittens.  Everything but the Whimsy sentiment from TCP.

  52. Last year I found some silly looking pixies in Ikea and made a bunch of cards with them attached to the front with brads. They went down a storm with some special friends, and I love your idea of the mittens!
